what are the costs?

When you sell a property, the costs you will incur include searches of S.A. Government and local Council records for information regarding your property, your agent's commission and advertising expenses, and the fees to discharge your mortgage, which are payable to your lending institution and the government.
When you buy a property a number of statutory charges apply. These include, in particular, the Titles Office registration fee, the stamp duty on the property tranfer and the stamp duty on the loan/mortgage. The amount you are charged depends on the price of the property and the value of the loan. We recommend that S.A. Government and local Council searches be undertaken on your behalf. Our Statutory Charges Calculator will provide you with a guide to the amount you may have to pay for statutory charges. It also conveniently includes an indicator of your likely monthly repayments.

Our fees

We offer full service and professional conveyancing and because each transaction is unique we do not quote a flat fee. We shall be happy to speak with you regarding your particular circumstances and provide you with a comprehensive quotation, with full details of the specific costs each individual transaction would attract.

In processing your transaction we will necessarily incur a number of "Disbursements", such as search fees and bank charges, which will be passed on to you. These are always described in detail in your Settlement Statement.
